In the event of those unexpected outages the system supplies backup power from your batteries to key appliances. Prolonged outages are taken care of by Redback’s black start capability, so even if your batteries do go flat, you know that when the sun comes back up the system will restart, turn your power on and charge your batteries so that when the sun does go down again, your lights will stay on.
